Before you write off this medium-roasted, artificially-flavoured creation from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, brew one for your sweetheart (assuming she or he likes coffee that has a rich, heady, fragrant and nutty aroma) and, as you deliver it, try firing up the conversation by explaining that the word amaretto comes from the Italian word “amaro” which sounds a lot like “amore”, the Italian way to say love, and suspiciously similar to“amo,” the Portuguese equivalent.
